Kaimganj: The Kaimganj sugar mill has stopped operations due to technical glitches. Crushing is being stopped repeatedly due to the pressure down of the sugar mill’s boiler.
The mill administration has issued notice to inform farmers about the closure of the sugar mill for 40 hours from December 31 for cleaning the plant to run the operations without any interruptions.
The mill continued operations by taking breaks for more than one week. Around 25 farmers raised the issue of interruption of cane crushing and rushed to the office of the GM on Sunday. The CCO present on the spot pacified the farmers and convinced them that the mill will start operations soon.
