Muzaffarnagar: Five sugar mills in the district have cleared cane dues worth Rs 81, 85, 84,000 to the cane farmers in one day. With this, the total cane dues cleared by the mills has reached around 55% of the total pending dues.
According to the Amarujala.com, the sugar mills that have cleared their dues include Khatauli sugar mill which has cleared Rs 27.79 crore, Titawi mill cleared Rs 12.1 crore, Mansurpur mill cleared Rs 19.13 crore, Tikaula mill cleared Rs 18.41 crore and Rohana sugar mill has cleared Rs 4.50 crore.
Bhaisana sugar mill is yet to clear the cane dues of the farmers. The highest cane dues have been cleared by Tikaula sugar mill (86%).
