Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh: Sugar mills in the district have pledged sugar worth Rs 300 crore to clear the pending cane dues of the farmers, reports Live Hindustan.
All four sugar mills in the district have borrowed Cash Credit Limit (CCL) from the banks by pledging sugar and clearing the pending cane dues of farmers.
These mills had purchased cane amounting to Rs 927.79 crore from the cane farmers this season and are yet to pay Rs 102.16 crore to the cane farmers.
