Sugar mills should have transparency in running operations: Raju Shetti

Pune: Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader Raju Shetti stated that the sugar mills should have more transparency while calculating their recovery loss due to diversion towards ethanol, reports The Indian Express.

He held an Oosh Parishad (Cane conclave) in Baramati on Wednesday. Shetti raises question on sugar mills calculation on recovery loss in sugar mills due to diversion towards ethanol.

Recently, his organisation had demanded that sugar mills should pay Rs 350 per tonne over the fair and remunerative price (FRP) as the first instalment fixed by the government for the 2022-23 crushing season.
