New York: Sugar output in Brazil’s centre-south (CS) region is expected to increase from 33.06 million tonnes to 34.17 million tonne in 2022-23 season (April-March), stated a sugar analyst CovrigAnalytics.
According to the news report published in Reuters, the analyst presented that the sugarcane crop in Brazil’s CS region would increase from 532 million tonnes to 552 million tonnes, next season. The presentation was made on Wednesday at a sugar conference organised by Sugaronline, an information company.
The sugarcane output in Brazil this season is likely to fall by 12%, lowest in the decade, due to unfavourable climatic conditions like drought and frost that have affected the sugarcane crop.
