In the month of July, 69,500 tons of sugar were produced in Uzbekistan. As per the Statistics agency, the major industries in the country produced 402.1 thousand tons of sugar in January-July 2023.
Sugar output in Uzbekistan has increased by 9.1% compared to the same period the preceding year, states Azernews citing Kun.uz news agency, according to Azernews.
Khorezm region and the Angren districts are major sugar-producing regions in the country.
