New Delhi: Sugar stocks continued their rally on Monday.
Major sugar stocks that were up at 11.15 Am were Uttam Sugar Mills (up 6.01%), EID Parry (up 3.95%), Ponni Sugars (Erode) (up 2.62%), K. M. Sugar Mills (up 2.46%), Bannari Amman Sugars (up 2.05%), DCM Shriram Industries (up 1.63%), Shree Renuka Sugars (up 5.33%), MAGADHSUGAR (up 2.91%), AVADHSUGAR (up 2.51%) and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries (up 2.42%).
The top losers in the sugar sector were Sakthi Sugars (down 2.54%), Rajshree sugars & Chemicals (down 0.14%), and Ugar Sugar Works (down 1.64%).
The NSE Nifty50 index was down 98.25 points and was trading at 17686.1 and the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 403.96 points lower at 59043.22 at 11.15 AM.
