The Economic Times reports that on Monday morning at 10:09 AM, sugar stocks were experiencing an upswing.
Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd. led the charge, rising by 2.12%, followed closely by Mawana Sugars Ltd. with a 2.06% increase. Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd. climbed 1.87%, Ugar Sugar Works Ltd. went up 1.81%, and KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd. advanced 1.80%. Other notable gainers included KM Sugar Mills Ltd. (up 1.75%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd. (up 1.46%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (up 1.43%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd. (up 1.24%), and Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd. (up 1.15%).
On the downside, Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd. saw a significant drop of 5.04%. Ponni Sugars (Erode) Ltd. decreased by 1.59%, Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd. fell by 0.51%, and DCM Shriram Industries Ltd. slipped by 0.22%.
In the broader market, the NSE Nifty50 index was trading higher by 9.5 points at 24,540.4, while the BSE Sensex was up by 9.9 points, reaching 80,614.55 at around 10:09 AM.
