New Delhi: As the stock markets opened with a gap-up the sugar stocks were trading higher at 11.05 AM on Thursday.
The top gainers among the sugar stocks were MAGADHSUGAR (up 6.55%), AVADHSUGAR (up 5.38%), Uttam Sugar Mills (up 4.43%), KCP Sugar & Industries (up 3.76%), Sakthi Sugars (up 3.65%), Rana Sugars (up 3.56%), Dhampur Sugar Mills (up 5.94%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (up 4.97%), Triveni Engineering & Industries and Mawana Sugars (up 3.72%).
The top losing sugar stocks were Simbhaoli Sugars (down 4.89%) and EID Parry (down 0.21%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 775.64 points at 56444.67 and the NSE Nifty50 index was trading 231.0 points up at 16908.6 at around 11.05 AM.
