Sugar Up On Restricted Supply, Better Offtake

Sugar prices registered a gain of Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following tight supplies in view of ongoing nationwide truckers’ strike amid better offtake by bulk consumers as well as stockists.
Marketmen said, fall in arrivals from mills due to truckers’ strike along with pick up in demand from stockists and bulk consumers, mainly led to up tick in sweetener prices.
