Piprasi, Bihar: Heavy rainfall associated with strong wind damaged the sugarcane crops in the region in district, reports Live Hindustan.
Standing cane crops in several villages in the district have fallen on the ground which has increased the worry of farmers. The fallen crops do not grow properly and rats attack such fields, they said. The crops go dry and shrink weight which results in lower recovery.
For the first time the region has received this type of rainfall this year, said farmers.
