Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh: The crushing operations at LH Sugar Mill will continue until March 31, after which the mill gate will be cleared. According to District Cane Officer Khushiram, crushing has already stopped at three other sugar mills in the district—Bajaj Hindusthan Mill in Barkheda, Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill in Puranpur, and the Bisalpur Sugar Mill, reported Live Hindustan.
Currently, only LH Sugar Mill is operational, where crushing will continue until the end of March before shutting down. Around seven lakh quintals of sugarcane remain in the mill’s area, and cane supply slips are still being issued. Once the crushing schedule is completed, the mill gate will be opened. At present, 35 cane collection centres are active in the mill region.
