Kanpur: To provide training to the students, crushing season 2021-22 began at the Experimental Sugar Factory of the National Sugar Institute (NSI), Kanpur on Tuesday.
The students learn the basics of identifying sugarcane varieties and other aspects related to sugarcane farming from harvesting to sending to the mills for crushing.
This is the only unit in the country which has two distinct techniques of decolorization of sugar syrup based on ion exchange resins and powdered active carbon.
