Karnal: A sugarcane farmer was killed in an accident at the premises of the cooperative sugar mill in Karnal on Wednesday, said police, reports Hindustan Times.
The deceased has been identified as Subhas Kumar (45), a resident of Lalupura village of Karnal district.
According to police, he had brought a cane to the sugar mill for crushing and the incident happened when his tractor developed some problem and he was trying to pull it with another tractor. While trying to drag after linking it with another tractor, he was crushed between two vehicles, said police.
