Rudrapur, Uttarakhand: The sugarcane farmers from the region launched an agitation against the sugar mill administration over pending cane arrears. They have threatened to further intensify their agitation if the mill fails to clear the dues.
The farmers stated that due to delay in payments of cane bills, they are not having sufficient funds to meet their daily expenses. They also asked the mill administration to complete the repair and maintenance work and start crushing operations on time.
