Amritsar: The Agriculture Department orchestrated a sugarcane training camp for cultivators in Ajnala on Tuesday, reported Tribune India.
Drawing the participation of more than 50 sugarcane cultivators from the region, the camp featured expert insights from the department on various aspects, including sugarcane varieties, farm practices, and disease management.
During the informative session, experts not only imparted knowledge about essential facets of sugarcane cultivation but also advocated for value addition in the agricultural practices of the farmers. They encouraged cultivators to explore opportunities for enhancing the value of their produce by engaging in activities such as making jaggery, shakkar, and other related products.
