Mysuru: Sugarcane crop grown over 20 acres of the area was gutted in a fire mishap at Kurubalahundi village in T Narasipur taluk in the district causing a loss of Rs 50 lakh, reports Mysooru News.
The short circuit is suspected to have caused the mishap, said, government officials.
Two fire tenders were deployed at the spot to extinguish the fire but the raging fire engulfed the neighbouring lands. However, the labourers involved in harvesting crops were not injured in the accident.
