Haryana: Sugarcane purchase price has been increased from Rs 340 per quintal to Rs 350 per quintal which is highest in the country, said state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. We have fulfilled the demands of the sugarcane farmers, he said.
Speaking with media persons, Khattar said that the opposition is playing politics by raising issues of farmers but they have failed to do so as we are doing all the possible things for the welfare of farmers.
“The state government has decided to increase the sugarcane price by Rs 10 per quintal accepting the demand of the farmers despite the price of the sugar is not high in the market. Now the price has been increased from Rs 340 per quintal to Rs 350 per quintal and it is the highest in the country”, he further added.
