Lucknow: The administration in Uttar Pradesh has launched an intensive sugarcane survey for the upcoming 2024-25 crushing season, emphasizing continuous monitoring and swift progress. According to the Sugarcane Department, surveys have been completed in 29,174 villages out of 45,507, covering 64 percent of the total villages. 17 lakh hectares have been surveyed so far.
The department has issued stringent directives to expedite the remaining survey work promptly. Continuous inspections are being conducted to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of the survey process. The sugarcane survey holds critical importance as it enables the department to accurately estimate sugarcane production.
Efforts are underway to complete the survey comprehensively to facilitate efficient planning and management for the upcoming sugarcane crushing season.
