Parbhani, Maharashtra: Sugarcane farmers have been asked to register themselves with the Gramsevak of their respective villages to get identity cards, reports Agrowan.
Geeta Guthe, assistant commissioner of the Social Welfare department said that the harvesters that were engaged in cane-cutting work for the last three or more years are eligible to get ID cards.
She was speaking at a programme organised to distribute ID cards to the sugarcane workers at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar social justice Bhavan in the city.
