Suprajit Engineering Limited (SEL), a leading Indian automotive cable and halogen bulb manufacturer, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chuo Spring Company Limited, a prominent Japanese transmission cable maker. The partnership will see the formation of a 50:50 joint venture (JV) in India aimed at designing, manufacturing, and supplying transmission cables.
The collaboration also includes a Technical Assistance (TA) agreement, granting the joint venture access to Chuo’s specialized Japanese transmission cable technology. The initial focus of the JV and TA will be on serving projects for two of India’s top Japanese photovoltaic (PV) original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
This partnership combines the strengths of two globally recognized companies in the cable industry. Chuo’s advanced transmission cable technology will be extended to India, enhancing Suprajit’s product offerings for both local and international markets. The collaboration will also help SEL broaden its reach among key Japanese customers while expanding into the transmission cable market.
