The Swachhta Pakhwada-2024 campaign is witnessing extensive participation from people across the nation. Citizens are uniting to clean their neighborhoods, public places, bus stops, metro stations, railway tracks, hills, beaches, tourist destinations, and garbage dumps.
Similarly, in a letter issued to sugar mills and distilleries, government has asked them to maintain and encourage cleanliness in factories and surrounding areas and to share the photographs of the cleanliness drive.
Efforts are being-made by the Govt. of India to make success of Swachhta Abhiyan by giving it highest priority.
According to the letter, “It has been decided by the Department of Food and Public Distribution to promote Hon’ble Prime Minister’s initiative of Swachhta Pakhwada-2024 (16th-29th Feb, 2024). In this regard, all industries that concern with this Ministry be requested to promote the initiative.”
“You are hereby requested to request your members/employees to take up cleanliness drives and advocate cleanliness in the factory and surrounding areas during the Swachhata Pakhwada and to engage in Shramdan activities and also for making it a routine feature in future. Banners with slogans, messages and instructions on swachhata should be displayed prominently at all important places and photographs of the activities should be taken and all these photographs along with detailed report need to be forwarded to this Directorate on cdsugar.fpd@nic.in latest by 25-02-2024,” the letter further reads.
