Kathmandu: India is considering lifting the ban on the export of daily essentials items like sugar and wheat to Nepal, reports Nepali media myRepublica.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava shared information regarding this while speaking at a program organized by Sunsari Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“A talk is currently underway with the central government to lift the restriction on daily essentials to Nepal,” Srivastava was quoted as saying by myRepublica.
Industries in Nepal claim that the sugar export ban has affected the sweetener price in the country.
