Kallakurichi: Sugarcane crushing has officially begun at the co-operative sugar mill in Kallakurichi, with a target to crush around 3.40 lakh tonnes of sugarcane grown during the current season, officials said. The crushing season was formally inaugurated by District Collector M.S. Prasanth, reports The Hindu.
