Nizamabad: Senior Congress leader and Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat candidate, T. Jeevan Reddy has promised to revive sugar mills, reported The Hindu.
He vowed that, if elected, a Congress government would prioritize the revival of sugar factories, promising concrete steps to ensure their operational resurgence by 2025.
In addition to addressing the challenges facing sugar mills, Reddy pledged to provide pensions to beedi-rolling women without imposing any cut-off date. Furthermore, he outlined comprehensive plans to develop Nizamabad into a smart city, with a specific focus on revitalizing the sugar industry and enhancing education, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
