Bangkok, Thailand: Thailand’s cabinet has given its approval for a budget of 7.9 billion baht designated as incentives for sugarcane farmers, encouraging them to refrain from burning their crops.
This initiative aims to mitigate pollution, as announced by government spokesperson Radklao Inthawong Suwankiri on Monday.
Suwankiri clarified that these incentives are in line with Thailand’s commitments under the World Trade Organization (WTO) since their primary objective is to address and diminish pollution concerns associated with crop burning.
