Three sugar mills from the district including Doiwala, Libberheri and Laksar sugar mills have cleared all the pending cane dues of the farmers for the 2021-22 crushing season, reports Live Hindustan.
Doiwala sugar mill was the first in clearing all dues followed by Libberheri sugar mill and Laksar sugar mill.
According to the media report, Iqbalpur sugar mill is yet to clear the pending cane dues of the last three seasons. The mill owes dues of Rs 11.14 crore for the 2017-18 season, Rs 100.01 crore for the 2018-19 season and RS 10.50 crore for the 2021-22 season.
Sujyash Navani, secretary of the Iqbalpur committee said that the mill has cleared cane dues till April 10 and will clear the remaining dues within 10 days.
