Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) and lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours starting from 0830 hours this morning, Meteorological Department warned on Thursday.
In a bulletin here, it also warned that heat wave conditions is likely to prevail at isolated places in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next four days and during the next 48 hours respectively.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days and in Telangana during the next three days.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad and Peddapalli of Telangana and in the district of Chittoor of Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
Isolated rain occurred in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema during the same period.
In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 45.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad.
The maximum and minimum temp in Hyderabad stood at 41 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin said.
In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 42.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Tirupati, while in Vijayawada the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 41 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added.
