Tikaula sugar mill of Muzaffarnagar has cleared cane dues worth Rs 640 crore to the cane farmers and with this, the mill has become the first mill in the region to make 100 per cent cane payment, reports Bhaskar.
The mill cleared all the cane dues only after three days of closing cane crushing operations.
Nirankar Swarup, director of the Tikaula sugar mill said that the mill administration is working for the betterment of the cane farmers. We have ensured that the farmers get their cane dues within 14 days of sending their cane for crushing, he said.
