Beginning this Sunday, the state-operated Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to initiate the sale of essential commodities at subsidized rates, marking its sales activities for the month of August.
As part of this initiative, TCB will distribute these vital items among approximately one crore family cardholders nationwide.
However, buyers will not receive sugar this time.
The formal inauguration of these operations will be officiated by Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, scheduled to take place at the west-side road of the Town Hall Market situated in Mohammadpur, a prominent area of the city.
