Hamburg: The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has issued a fresh international tender to purchase 50,000 tonnes of white sugar from the international market. The tender closes on October 7.
According to the tender, the shipment should arrive in Pakistan by November 25. Earlier tender issued by TCP for 50,000 tonnes of sugar was closed on September 30 and traders believe that the country has not purchased any sugar. As per the tender of September 30, the sugar was to be transported to the country by November 10 and only two companies had applied for the same.
Pakistan is importing sugar to meet the consumption level in the country and has approved for importing sugar in July this year.
