Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh: A tragic incident happened at a sugar mill in Balrampur district on Wednesday, resulting in one person losing his life and two others getting injured due to a blast in the central air conditioning system. Deceased has been identified as Brijendra Bahadur Sharma, a senior electrician at the mill.
The blast occurred while Brijendra, along with his other workers Prabhakar Gautam and Anwar Ahmad, was working on the central AC in the chemical division’s control room of the sugar mill.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, Additional SP, Balrampur, Namrata Srivastava said that the explosion took place around 9.45pm, causing a loud noise and tossing the victims to one side. Later, they were taken to a hospital for medical attention. Tragically, Brijendra was pronounced dead by the doctors, while Prabhakar’s condition led to a referral to the KGMU trauma center in Lucknow. Anwar is currently recovering at the local district hospital.
Nishkam Gupta, Chief General Manager of the sugar mill, assured that the mill management is committed to providing all necessary support for the treatment of the injured individuals.
