Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Training to the sugarcane farmers has helped in increasing the sugarcane output in the state, said the Uttar Pradesh Government.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, the government has provided training to as many as 67,000 farmers across the state. A state government spokesperson said, “The Sugarcane department has played a major role in providing training to the cane farmers. The Department arranges training sessions for farmers and provides them information through mobile apps.”
The e-Ganna App developed by the department has been downloaded by as many as 44.4 lakh farmers that are in touch with the department, said the official. The mobile app has received 81.57 crore hits and the website of Smart Sugarcane Farmer (Smart Ganna Kisan) has received 5.1 crore hits, he added.
