Once plagued by the shadow of notorious dacoits, Katri stood devoid of industrial ventures due to prevailing fear and terror. However, with the eradication of criminal elements by 2008, the stage was set for a new chapter in the area’s development.
After years of anticipation, the inauguration of the ethanol plant, coupled with a poultry feed unit, represents a promising venture with an investment of ₹300 crore. The commencement of trials at the plant signifies a pivotal step towards Katari’s economic rejuvenation. This development holds the potential to revolutionize the agricultural landscape by incentivizing x` among local farmers.
With maize cultivation offering both economic stability and a solution to water scarcity, the plant’s establishment promises to alleviate the challenges faced by farmers in the region. No longer will they need to struggle to find buyers for their maize crops, as the plant provides a reliable market. Additionally, the venture is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 2,000 individuals, directly and indirectly benefiting the local community.
