Saharanpur: Giving relief to farmers, Triveni sugar mill Deoband has sent the bill payment to cane societies of sugarcane procured till November 22 in the ongoing season.
Pushkar Mishra, the unit head of the mill, said that cane bills worth Rs 19.83 crore, till November 22, paid to the farmers. This will help the growers to meet their daily needs and address financial issues.
Sugar mills in the country are yet to pay cane dues worth Rs 4,445 crore of the 2020-21 crushing season. As per the data, Uttar Pradesh leads in the country with maximum pending cane amount.
