Nagpur: A truck transporting sugar was suddenly engulfed in flames in front of Arya Motor on Bhandara Road in Nagpur’s Pardi area on Monday night around 9 p.m., reports Nagpur Trends.
The fire rapidly spread, consuming the driver’s cabin, the truck’s engine, and the tarpaulin-covered sugar in the rear. The intense blaze caused damage to the vehicle.
Firefighters from Kalmana Fire Station responded swiftly to the emergency, arriving at the scene soon after receiving the alert. A second fire engine from Lakadganj Fire Station was also dispatched to assist in controlling the flames.
Preliminary findings indicate that an electrical short circuit in the truck’s wiring may have triggered the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and firefighters managed to contain the blaze before it could spread further.
