Ukraine has witnessed a notable surge in sugar exports to African nations since the onset of March, as informed by Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
“Ukraine is venturing into a fresh avenue for sugar exports. In March alone, nearly 8,000 tonnes of sugar were exported to three African nations – Cameroon, Libya, and Guinea,” stated Taras Vysotskyi.
The First Deputy Minister highlighted that the overall state of affairs in the sugar market remains steady. Ukraine’s sugar production is deemed sufficient to cater to the domestic demands of its populace as well as to fulfill the requisite export quotas.
