480,300 tonnes of sugar production has been reported till November 2 in Ukraine. According to the website of the National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor, a total of 30 sugar refineries were operating in the country and processed 3.66 million tonnes of sugar beet.
The country began sugar production season from September 5. Sugar output in the country is expected to reach 1.2 million sugar, 15 per cent less than last year.
As per the State Statistics Service, in 2020, the area sown with sugar beet amounted to 218,900 hectares – at the level of last year.
