Sugar refineries in Ukraine have processed 4 million tonnes of sugar beets in the current season, which began two months ago. According to the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine, 529,900 metric tonnes of sugar was produced by processing 4.03 million tonnes of sugar beets till November 5.
30 sugar refineries across the country have begun operations to crush sugar beets. Officially the sugar beet processing season began on September 5 for the 2020-21 season.
