Moscow: Ukraine will send sugar and other agricultural products including honey to the European Union duty free until June 5, 2025.
This decision is based on how much Ukraine sold to the EU in late 2021 and 2022-2023. The European Council agreed on May 13 to keep this tax-free trade going for another year starting from June 2024. This news comes from reports by Ukrainian media, quoting the country’s Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.
Under Article 4(7) of the regulation on autonomous trade measures for Ukrainian products, the country has been granted quotas for duty-free export of 109,439 tonnes of sugar to the EU for the period from June 6, 2024, to June 5, 2025.
