In 2024, Ukrainian sugar producers made a record in sugar exports, exporting 746.3 thousand tons of sugar to international markets, generating $419 million in revenue, according to the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrtsukor).
“This is the highest figure for sugar exports within a calendar year according to statistics dating back to 1997, when the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine was establishe,” the industry association stated.
Ukrtsukor also noted that 40% of the exports in 2024 were sent to the European Union, while 60% went to global markets, with the primary buyers being countries in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) and North Macedonia.
