Bagpat: Baghpat sugar mill has cleared payments for the crushing season up to April 25th, reported Amar Ujala.
With this latest payment, only five days’ worth of dues remain outstanding for the farmers. The mill has assured that the remaining payments will be settled promptly.
According to Baghpat sugar mill’s General Manager, VP Pandey, the mill has released payments for sugarcane dues up to April 25th on Thursday. An amount of Rs 12 crore 56 lakh 30 thousand has been transferred to the committee’s account. The committee will further distribute this amount to the farmers’ accounts on Friday. The mill will soon clear the remaining sugarcane dues. To date, the mill has cleared 97.61% of the total outstanding dues.
