Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold a review meeting on several issues including development work, sugarcane payment, and others through video conferencing today. According to the media reports, on Thursday, the officers were busy preparing reports throughout the day. Along with the district level officials, public representatives will also participate in this meeting.
Sugarcane farmers claim that they are suffering from the financial crisis as sugar mills fail to clear the cane dues. Whereas, mills assert that due to low sugar sales they don’t have enough finance to clear the arrears.
Recently, Uttar Pradesh’s sugarcane department had asked sugar mills to clear the pending cane arrears on a priority basis. They also issued a strict warning to sugar mills.
