Lucknow: The excise department is promoting ethanol production in the state, said additional chief secretary Sanjay Bhoosreddy, reports Daily Pioneer.
The Excise department is performing an important role in the overall industrial development of the state by promoting ethanol production, he said.
The department has earned record revenue of Rs 41,252 crore during the 2022-23 financial year, he said.
