Bisharatganj: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Dharmapal Singh visited the newly constructed ethanol plant by the Jindal Group near Ismailpur village on the Aonla-Aliganj Road on Thursday afternoon. The visit came in the wake of an accident that occurred at the plant on Monday, reported Amar Ujala.
At the site, the minister inspected the area where the incident took place and gathered details from officials about its cause. He also issued necessary instructions to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
During the inspection, Singh said that promoting industry is a key priority for the state government. He emphasized the need for strict safety measures to prevent the recurrence of similar accidents. He also urged the factory management to implement adequate safety protocols and to complete the trial phase soon so that full-scale production could begin without delay.
Factory General Manager Mukesh Kumar Saxena informed the minister that the total cost of setting up the plant was ₹114 crore. Initially, the plant will produce ethanol using maize and rice. Beer production is not part of the current operations.
Assistant Director of Factories Kapil Sharma, Labour Enforcement Officer R.K. Chaturvedi, and Aonla Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nanhe Ram, among other officials were present on the occasion.
Three employees of an ethanol plant in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district sustained burn injuries on Monday after a boiler exploded in the factory.
