Lucknow: In a great relief to Sugarcane growers, the sugar mills from Uttar Pradesh have cleared almost all the pending dues from last three years.
The data from UP cane department shows that the Cooperative and government-owned mills have cleared 100 per cent dues from last three years whereas the private sugar mills have cleared 99.91 per cent arrears from 2016-17, 99.87 per cent for the year 2017-18, and 98.10 per cent for 2018-19.
However, in this season sugar mills have not cleared all dues. Therefore administration is leaving no stone unturned and asked mills to pay the dues as per rule.
