Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: The area under cane cultivation in the district declined by 4.58% in the 2023-24 crushing season, reveals the data collected by the Sugarcane department, reports Live Hindustan.
More than one lakh sugarcane farmers are engaged in cane cultivation activities in the district. The area under cane cultivation this season has decreased to 76,283 hectares from last year’s 79,943 hectares.
