Hardoi: After an around eight-year hiatus, the Baghauli sugar mill resumed its crushing season on Friday. VK Shukla, Additional Commissioner (Development, Research and Coordination) for Cane Development, inaugurated the season by performing a puja (holy ceremony) and feeding sugarcane into a carrier, reported Amar Ujala.
The event was attended by Satyendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner (Cane), Nidhi Gupta, District Cane Officer, Mahendra Singh Yadav and Ajay Pratap Singh, secretaries of the cooperative cane development committee, U K Pathak, Vinay Singh, Deputy General Manager (Cane) for Bagholi, Vikas Tomar, Senior Manager (Cane Development), and SK Singh, Deputy General Manager (Personnel and Administration), along with farmers.
