Hasanpur: Bhartiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) has demanded from the government to hike the sugarcane price to Rs 450 per quintal, Dainik Bhaskar reported.
The demand was made in a monthly meeting of the organisaion held at Hasanpur recently.
The meeting was presided over by Suraj Singh and during the meeting, several farmers put forward their demands of hiking sugarcane prices. They also demanded that the government should ensure that Kisan cooperative sugar mill clears pending cane dues of Rs 26 crore including interest on it.
