Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is likely to lay the foundation stone for Gorakhpur’s first ethanol plant on Sunday, reports Hindustan Times.
During his scheduled two-day visit to Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister is also likely to formally open a recently constructed warehouse valued at ₹30 crore.
The project, undertaken by Keeyan Distilleries, is projected to involve an investment of approximately ₹1,200 crore, according to Vinay Kumar Singh, the Managing Director of the company.
Spanning 31 acres, the plant will boast a daily production capacity of 300 kilolitres of ethanol and 200 kilolitres of extra-neutral alcohol (ENA), colorless food-grade alcohol. Singh elaborated that this facility is anticipated to generate more than a thousand direct employment opportunities.
